How bronze plaques are made

Bronze plaques are made through a series of steps that involve casting, finishing, and detailing the plaque. Here’s a general overview of the process:

Design

The first step in creating a bronze plaque is to create a design in our online wizard. Simply choose the design that most closely resembles what you envision and customize accordingly.

Mold creation

Once the design is finalized, a mold is created by our skilled team. This mold is made from fully recyclable materials such as silicone or resin and is used to later cast the bronze.

Casting

Time to cast the bronze! Molten bronze in liquid state is poured into the mold we created earlier. The mold is then allowed to cool, and the solid bronze plaque is removed. We’re not done though!

Finishing

The plaque will now need to be finished. Upon a detailed inspection and sanding the plaque to remove any rough spots or imperfections our artisans then polish it to give it a smooth, shiny surface. Depending on the design, the plaque may be painted using special enamels to give them the desired look.

Detailing

The final step in the process is to add any necessary details, such as lettering, images, or other design elements.

Final Quality Inspection

The overall quality of the plaque is examined by a senior technician who then signs off on the plaque. Your bronze plaque is now carefully packaged for shipping to serve you for decades to come!

Overall, the process of making a bronze plaque is a combination of art and science, with skilled craftsmen using a variety of techniques to create a beautiful and durable final product. Whether you’re looking to commemorate a special event, honour a loved one, or simply create a unique work of art, a bronze plaque can be a beautiful and lasting way to achieve your goal.
